Rikki Hartupee was recognized at Monday's City Council meeting for her work as the Mayor's Office intern this summer.

Rikki is a student at Indiana Wesleyan and is majoring in political science and history.  She returns next week to school.

During the summer, she has attended a number of official meetings, experienced ride-alongs with the Rapid City Police and Fire Departments and worked on an historical archive project for the Mayor's Office regarding the City's elections.

Mayor Steve Allender commended Rikki for her work and wished her well in the future.  She was recognized with a certificate of appreciation for her work June 1-August 25.   This is the second year for the mayor's internship program, which is coordinated through Kelsey Sakos in the mayor's office.

Congratulations, Rikki, and good luck!
