Rapid City Regional Airport Adds Direct Flights To Los Angeles, San Francisco

Rapid City Regional Airport Director Patrick Dame held a press conference today (January 28) to announce the addition of two seasonal non-stop flights linking Rapid City to Los Angeles and San Francisco.

    United Airlines is adding the weekend flights, which will begin June 22 and will continue through September 1.  There will single direct flights on Saturdays and Sundays, one from Rapid City to Los Angeles and one from Rapid City to San Francisco.

    Dame along with Visit Rapid City Director Julie Jensen spoke of the positive impacts the decision will have on the area, exposing the Rapid City and the Black Hills to four million people in two of the country's largest cities.  Dame said Regional Airport began taking bookings this weekend.

    Council members Laura Armstrong and Ritchie Nordstrom also attended the announcement.
