CITY PARKS & RECREATION SEEKING SEASONAL EMPLOYEES

Many positions available at City's pools, parks and greenhouse

 

RAPID CITY--The City's Parks and Recreation Department is seeking applicants for a number of seasonal positions including jobs at the City's parks and greenhouse as well as Roosevelt Swim Center, Jimmy Hilton Pool, Parkview Pool, and the new Horace Mann pool.

                "It's a great opportunity for young people and others seeking seasonal employment," said Jeff Biegler, Parks and Recreation Director.  "We have a number of positions available which offer valuable experience and at the same time helps the City keep facilities well-staffed and our parks maintained."

             Crew positions in the Parks/Cemetery Division are available in park maintenance, mowing, landscaping and gardening.  Hours are primarily 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and wages vary by position and experience.  For more information, contact the Parks Division at 394-4175.

                 Positions in the Recreation/Parks Division include concessions, lifeguards and swim instructors.  Water and/or Land exercise instructors and substitutes are also needed in a variety of areas.  Certification is mandatory for lifeguard positions.  Hours and wages vary by position.  For more information, contact the Swim Center at 394-5223.
