(UPDATE) City Council Approves First Reading of 2021 City Budget

(SEPTEMBER 3 UPDATE)

The Rapid City Council approved first reading of the City's 2021 budget at a special session August 26.  The Council will take up second reading of the proposed $176 million budget at its meeting Tuesday, September 8 in Council Chambers.  The meeting is moved to Tuesday due to the Labor Day holiday.  The Council meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

(AUGUST 24 UPDATE)

The Rapid City Council is set to take up discussion and first reading of the 2021 City budget including a resolution on use of the consumer price index (CPI) provision as part of the budget during a special session this week.

            The session is scheduled for this Wednesday (August 26) at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.  

            The meeting is open to the public.

            Mayor Steve Allender presented his 2021 City budget last week (see below for link).  The Council must approve two readings of the final budget prior to September 30.
