Many City Offices Closed For Memorial Day

MOST CITY OFFICES CLOSED FOR MEMORIAL DAY

Landfill Closed with Monday's trash collection set for Tuesday;

Rapid Transit Services, Library, Civic Center also closed;

Airport, RC Swim Center & Roosevelt Ice Arena will be open

RAPID CITY, SD--Most City facilities will be closed next Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day with a few exceptions.

                       City offices will be closed Monday for the holiday observance.  Rapid Transit System's RapidRide and Dial-A-Ride services will not be operating Monday. The Rapid City Landfill will be closed Memorial Day. Trash collection is suspended Monday with Monday's collection set for Tuesday and Tuesday-Friday collections operating on a normal schedule, leave out until collected. The Rapid City Library facilities are closed Sunday and Monday.  The Rushmore Plaza Civic Center will be closed Monday.          

            The Rapid City Swim Center and Roosevelt Ice Arena will be open Monday.  The Swim Center will be open at 5:30 a.m. with open public swim beginning at 1 p.m.  The Roosevelt Ice Arena will be open for public skate from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

            The Rapid City Airport will be open with administrative offices closed.  Rapid City Police and Fire Departments will be operating on normal shift schedules with administrative offices closed.
