Registration is now open for the first-annual Sustainability Conference in Rapid City Sept. 30-Oct. 1 at the Dahl Fine Arts Center.
A full day of presentations focused on local economy, local food, energy, efficiency and renewable energy, water, solid waste, recycling, transportation, housing and education are planned. Tours are scheduled in the afternoon and several education sessions for continuing education and professional development will be held.
The conference will be hosted by Rapid City's Standing Committee on Sustainability. The purpose of the Committee is to encourage education, stewardship and policy leadership to make our community a leader in economic, social and environmental sustainability.
