Fines and Fees Forgiveness: Sign Up or Renew Library Card in September

Rapid City, SD – September is Library Card Sign up Month – anyone who renews or signs up for a library card will be entered to win an iPad.

Throughout September, the library will accept donations at the library and fines and fees will be forgiven.

Here’s how:

1.) Return late items without penalty, no matter how late they are.

2.) Donate any of these items: Like-new book or DVD, new socks or clothing, non-perishable food, pet items

$25 of fines/fees will be waived for each item donated.

Donations will benefit WAVI, Feeding South Dakota, Cornerstone Rescue Mission and Humane Society of the Black Hills.

Rapid City Public Library has served the Rapid City area since 1879. The library offers print and electronic resources for adults, young adults and children, as well as computers, internet access and a variety of programs and events.
