Swimming at the City's Jimmy Hilton Sioux Park pool has really gone to the dogs, in a big way.
More than 400 dogs frolicked at the pool Sunday for the second annual Wags and Waves event at the Sioux Park pool facility. Dogs of just about every shape, size and breed were there. Bigger dogs took to the deep end to fetch balls and frisbees while energetic dogs chased each other around and inside the pool. Other dogs were content to sun themselves poolside or wade around the zero-depth pool. Other dogs made good use of the dinosaur slide.
The event was a fundraiser for the Humane Society of the Black Hills.
