The generosity of the community and City and School employees was very much evident in the dozens of gifts that were provided during the Salvation Army's Angel Tree project this year.

Five City facilities served as Angel Tree locations this season.  At City Hall, all 60 tags were taken and gifts returned.  The same story at the Parks and Recreation Office where all 32 tags were taken and gifts provided.  Good response was also reported at the Civic Center, Fire Station 1 and the Roosevelt Park Ice Arena.  In total, between 125-150 gifts were provided by the community, City and school employees.

At City Hall, Mayor Steve Allender and Council member Laura Armstrong checked out the pile of gifts and were very impressed with the response from both the community and City and school employees, noting the holiday spirit and generosity of the community is very much evident this year and that the holiday experiences of many children will be so much greater due to the donations.
