RAPID CITY--A total of 300 building permits were issued in June by Rapid City's Division of Building Services for a total valuation of $27,347,566.
The June permits total was the highest June total for permits issued since 2014. The valuation total was the second highest total for the month of June since 2010.
For 2017, the City has issued a total of 1,524 building permits for a six-month valuation total of $127,592,884.
Top permits issued in June included: Black Hills Federal Credit Union for interior finish of its facility at 2700 N. Plaza Drive ($6,146,041); Rapid City Regional Hospital for foundation, steel and utility work for the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute at 1635 Caregiver Circle ($3,685 million); Maverik, Inc. for a new store facility at 1624 Haines Avenue ($2,704,740); LSREF4 Bison LLC for commercial upgrades and alterations at Synchrony Financial, 900 Concourse Drive; and Pilot Properties for Phase 2 of a 12-plex at 521 Neel Street ($900,000).
