It's Time For City Pools To Open

RAPID CITY--The City's outdoor pools are opening for the summer.

            New this year is early entry for swimmers with passes.  The outdoor pools are open from noon to 6 p.m. daily but those with passes can gain early entrance at 11:30 a.m.

            The opening date schedule for the City's outdoor pools:

            **Roosevelt Swim Center's 50-meter pool: Wednesday, May 29

            **Parkview Pool: Thursday, May 30

            **Horace Mann Pool: Friday, May 31

            **Sioux Park's Jimmy Hilton Pool: Saturday, June 4.

            In addition, the Roosevelt Swim Center's indoor pools will begin open swim hours at 1 p.m. daily beginning Monday, May 27.

            "With schools getting out for the summer, it's time for the pools to open up," said Doug Lowe, Manager of the City's Recreation Division. "We have completed training of our lifeguards and pool staff and we expect a great summer."
