City Pools Preparing to Open For Summer Fun

RAPID CITY--The City's outdoor pools are getting ready to open for the summer.
The Roosevelt Swim Center's 50-meter outdoor pool will open Wednesday, May 30 followed by the opening of Sioux Park's Jimmy Hilton Pool and the Parkview Pool on Thursday, May 31 and the Horace Mann Pool is set to open Friday June 1. Pool hours will be Noon-6 p.m. at each facility.
"Everyone is itching to get into the pool. With school officially out on Friday and graduation this weekend, we will complete training of our lifeguards and pool staff and be ready for the official openings," said Doug Lowe, Manager of the City's Recreation Division. "We are expecting a great summer at all our facilities."
