City Offices Closed Labor Day
Labor Day is Monday, September 2 and the unofficial conclusion to the 'summer' season. City offices will be closed and it is the final weekend for many local and area tourist attractions and businesses.

Monday trash collection altered, final day for outdoor swim
City Council meeting moved to Tuesday
RAPID CITY--City offices will be closed Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day.
The City Council meeting is moved to Tuesday, September 3 at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
Monday's trash collection is scheduled for Tuesday with Tuesday to Friday collections remaining the same for Labor Day Week, leave out until collected. The Landfill, Rapid Transit and Rushmore Plaza Civic Center will be closed.
The Rapid City Library's downtown facility will be closed Sunday and Labor Day Monday. The General Beadle Library will be closed on Labor Day.
The holiday weekend is the final weekend of summer operations at Sioux Park's Jimmy Hilton pool and the Swim Center's outdoor 50-meter pool. The Hilton pool will be open from Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day Monday with 11:30 a.m. early entry for pass holders. The Roosevelt Swim Center's outdoor 50-meter pool hours are 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Saturday, 1-7:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Labor Day Monday. The public is reminded the Swim Center's indoor facilities remain closed through Monday for annual maintenance.
The Hilton Pool will host the annual Black Hills Humane Society's Wags and Waves event Tuesday, September 3 from 5-7 p.m.
The Roosevelt Ice Arena will be open with public skate from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Labor Day Monday.
The Rapid City Airport will be open however administrative offices will be closed. The Rapid City Police and Fire Departments will be operating, however administrative offices will be closed.
