RAPID CITY--The City's Division of Building Services issued 294 building permits in July with a total valuation of $29,849,728.
The July valuation total was the second highest permit valuation for July, surpassed only by the $30,483,308 total from July 2011. In July 2016, the City issued 240 building permits with a valuation of $26,175,345.
For 2017, the City has issued 1,818 building permits with a total valuation over seven months of $157,442,612.
Six permits issued last month had valuations of more than $1 million: GCC Dakotah Inc. for a kiln upgrade at 501 N. Saint Onge Street ($9,899,324); Rapid City Extended Stay Inc. for Staybridge Suites at 1314 Luna Avenue ($3.3 million); Rice Mall Drive Family Property for the Rice Honda Building Shell at 3337 E. Mall Drive ($3 million); Yasmeen Dream LLC for the Great Plains Tribal facility, 2611 Elderberry Boulevard ($2,528,100); and Muth Holdings LLC for two select 12-plex facilities at 4911 Haines Avenue and 4931 Haines Avenue ($1.1 million each).
