Crews from the Rapid City Parks Department will be planted 94 trees in Robbinsdale Park earlier this month.
The project is funded by a $10,000 grant in 2017 from the Gwendolyn Stearns Foundation to the Parks' Beautification Committee. The grant was awarded by the Foundation for the planting of trees in Robbinsdale Park.
City Parks Landscape Designer Chelsea Levorsen says many of the trees were planted around the Park's retention cell and playground with some trees planted at the Park's BMX Track Center.
Crews spent a couple of days planting the trees in the Park.
