The purpose of the Disability Awareness and Accessibility Committee (formerly known as the Mayor's Committee for People with Disabilities), was created to advocate for and promote the equal inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of community life in Rapid City.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Members should be comprised of a cross-section of the community having an interest in employment and inclusion of persons with disabilities, especially those who have a disability, who have experience working with persons with a disability, or who are affiliated with organizations that provide services to people with disabilities.
RESIDENCY/REGISTERED VOTER REQUIREMENT
Members must reside within the greater Rapid City area.
MEETING
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall, 300 Sixth Street.
