RCPD Investigating Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Fatality

One Person has been arrested for 1st Degree Murder and Driving Under the Influence following a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident at 1200 N Lacrosse St.

On May 26, 2019, at approximately 1243 hours the Rapid City Police Department was dispatched to the parking lot of 1200 N Lacrosse St for report of vehicle vs. pedestrian accident.  When officers arrived they found the victim unresponsive and the suspect vehicle had struck a tree.  The victim was transported to the Rapid City Regional Hospital where they later passed away. 

During the course of the investigation the driver of the vehicle, Rochelle Seminole (48 years old), was determined to have intentionally driven her vehicle at the pedestrian, striking them. Rochelle was also found to be intoxicated at the time of the incident.  Rochelle was later arrested for 1st Degree Murder and Driving Under the Influence (DUI). 

The victim in this case has been identified as 37-year-old Kimberly Clifford of Rapid City.

This is an ongoing investigation by the Rapid City Police Department and the Pennington County Sheriff’s Department.
