RCPD Community Advisory Committee schedules first public Progress Reports

The Rapid City Police Department’s Community Advisory Committee has scheduled two public meetings to discuss the committee’s progress on a variety of issues. Those meetings are scheduled:

  • Tuesday, September 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at the City-School Administration Building
  • Monday, October 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Oyate Community Center (2430 Gnugnuska Drive) in the Lakota Homes subdivision

Members of the Community Advisory Committee and CAC Coordinator Vaughn Vargas will be available at the public meetings to discuss recent projects, initiatives, and recommendations for which the CAC has been responsible in the months since its creation.

“I’m extremely thrilled with the progress of the Community Advisory Committee,” said Vargas. “We’re hosting these public Progress Reports in an effort to showcase the strides we’ve been making toward making Rapid City the best community it can be. We’ve got some major announcements to make, and we think the community is really going to be excited about the committee’s work up to this point.”

The public and media are welcome to attend the meetings.
