Police have arrested 27-year-old Quintez Provancial of Rapid City in connection with an attempted robbery of the business at 1109 West Omaha Street, and the attempted rape of a victim at the business.
On March 19th at around 12:45 a.m., police were dispatched to 1109 West Omaha Street for a report of an attempted rape. On arrival, police made contact with the victim. She informed police that a male patron of the business had assaulted her and attempted to force himself upon her in the bathroom. He had also stolen her cell phone and attempted to take cash from the business’s cash register before leaving the scene.
Police obtained a description of the suspect and located him in the 300 block of Kansas City Street. He was identified as Provancial. Police brought the victim to this location and she positively identified Provancial as the suspect. A search of Provancial’s person turned up the victim’s cell phone.
Provancial was placed under attest for Second Degree Robbery, Second Degree Rape, and False Imprisonment. He was transported to the Pennington County Jail. Police continue to investigate the incident.
