The decorative use of beads & beadwork patterns are an important part of native artwork.
Award-winning artist, Terra Houska, has beaded for 15 years, integrating her Lakota, Cheyenne & Czech ancestries into her beading techniques favoring the 1850-1920’s plains beadwork designs. Houska was born & raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota & taught beading by her late grandmother, relatives & friends.
