Dorie Greenspan's food is powerfully cookable making her recipes instant classics. Dishes are practical, made with common ingredients from the supermarket or pantry, & easygoing enough for ingredient swaps & substitutions. Every single recipe is like a best friend in the kitchen, full of Dorie's trademark hand-holding directions.

Dorie Greenspan was born in Brooklyn & burned her parent's kitchen down when she was 12. She gave up working on her doctorate in gerontology to bake cookies in a restaurant basement. Greenspan is the 'On Dessert' columnist for The New York Times Magazine and has written 13 cookbooks winning the Cookbook of the Year Award from the International Association of Culinary Professionals twice. Her cookbooks have been on The New York Times Best Seller list. Greenspan lives in New York City, Westbrook, Connecticut & Paris, France.
