The Rapid City - Pennington County GIS sells data that has been acquired for internal operations. The Rapid City Council and Pennington County Commission have approved a cost recovery strategy for data acquired from orthophotography projects. All other data may be purchased for the cost of reproduction. Selected data sets are available for free download using the links below. Note that data acquired using federal funds are sold for the cost of reproduction. Data prices are listed in the table below. To request data, please contact the GIS Division at 605-716-3672.
General data specifications - all data are provided in South Dakota State Plane feet, South Zone (FIPS 4002), NAD83 - 2011 adjustment.
