Soo San Drive and West Main Street
Intersection Signal Repair

Starting Wednesday, June 26th, City workers will turn off the traffic signal at the intersection of Soo San Drive and West Main Street. The intersection will stay open with all-way STOP signs while the workers replace the traffic signal control cabinet. The signal should be turned back on that afternoon.

West Boulevard and 9th Street
Closed to Through Traffic

Starting Wednesday, June 19, 2019, West Boulevard northbound lanes from St. Joseph Street to St. Patrick Street will be closed for 2 blocks at a time and detours will be provided.  The project will start with St. Patrick Street northbound lanes and when this is complete, the southbound lanes will follow. Ninth Street will be flagged around the construction area as it progresses between St. Patrick Street and Fulton Street. The construction is expected to be completed in 4 weeks, weather permitting.  Repair work will include removal of curb and gutter, dig-outs and patching.

Fulton Street
Closed to Through Traffic

Fulton Street will remain closed from 12th Street to Tompkins Street until July 20, 2019 for utility and paving construction work. Fulton Street will be reduced to local traffic only while 12th Street will remain open to all traffic.

Effective Monday, June 17, 2019, Fulton Street from West Boulevard to the alley west of 11th Street will be closed to through traffic for the Fulton Street Reconstruction project. The duration of the road closure will be for approximately 3 months. The sidewalks in this area will be closed.

6th Street and the Alley between 4th Street to 6th Street and Kansas City Street to Quincy Street
Traffic Restriction

Effective Monday, June 17, 2019, MDU will be working on 6th Street between Kansas City Street and Columbus Street as well as in the alley between 4th Street to 6th Street and Kansas City Street to Quincy Street.  Partial lane restrictions will be in place until Wednesday, July 3, 2019.

Springbrook Road and Horsecreek Drive
Intersection Restriction

Effective Monday, June 17, 2019, road construction/culvert repairs will begin at the intersection of Springbrook Road and Horsecreek Drive. Through traffic will be limited to one way so expect delays when traveling. The duration of the construction in this area will be until August 15, 2019.

Alley between 6th Street and 7th Street
Alley Closure

Effective Friday, June 7, 2019, the alley running east/west between 6th Street & 7th Street and Kansas City Street and Quincy Street will be closed to through traffic. Construction work will be taking place in the alley from 6th Street running west about 150 Feet. Access to the alley way will remain open from 7th Street. This work is expected to be completed by June 21, 2019.

7th Street and Franklin Street
Street Closure

Effective June 7, 2019,  7th Street from the intersections of Franklin Street to Saint Cloud Street will be closed. Franklin Street from Mt. Rushmore Road to 7th Street will also have restrictions. This work is expected to be completed by July 12, 2019.

Lakeview Drive and 38th Street
Intersection Closure

Effective immediately, June 4, 2019, Lakeview Drive at the intersection of Lakeview Drive and 38th Street will be closed. Access to Lakeview Drive will remain open from Canyon Lake Drive. This work is expected to be completed by June 18, 2019.

Field View Drive
Lane Restrictions

Starting Wednesday, May 29, 2019, the following streets will have asphalt and curb & gutter repairs: Field View Drive from Elm Avenue to Derby Lane, Paddock Ct., Preakness Ct., Montage Dr., Arlington Dr., Hanover Dr., Arthur Pl., Walter Pl., Harrington Ct. and Hillshire Ct. The work should be completed by June 26, 2019, weather permitting.

Kansas City Street
Traffic Restriction

Effective Wednesday, May 29th, Kansas City Street will be closed to westbound traffic between 9th Street and West Boulevard. Eastbound traffic will be affected but should remain open. This work is expected to be completed by the early part of June 2019, (weather permitting). The sidewalk on the north side of Kansas City Street will also remain closed during this time, please follow designated detour routes.

Disk Drive and Haines Avenue
Traffic Restriction

Effective Monday, May 13, 2019, the area near the intersection of Disk Drive and Haines Avenue will have multiple lane closures that will restrict traffic for a utility and street replacement project.  Various lane shifts will occur during construction.  This work is expected to be completed by November 15, 2019.

38th Street
Street Closure

Effective Friday, May 3, 2019, 38th Street will be closed to thru traffic from the intersection of Burns Drive to Range Road. Vehicular and pedestrians detours will be provided. The completion date for this phase of work will be October 18, 2019.

Maple Avenue, Arizona Street and East Wyoming Street
Lane Closure

Construction work on the above streets will begin April 1, 2019 and continue through August 9, 2019. Such work will include; spot repair of Curb & Gutter, ADA Sidewalk Improvements, Traffic Light Upgrades, Asphalt Patching, Asphalt Milling and Asphalt Overlay. The streets listed above will be intermittently reduced to one lane. Motorists should expect minor delays.  Provided alternate access will be maintained and provided for certain road sections if there is a short term closure during construction.

Ivy Avenue
Closed For Through Traffic

Effective Monday, March 25, 2019, Ivy Avenue from Willow Street intersection south to Fairlane Drive will be closed to through traffic. This work is expected to be completed by July 1, 2019.

St Cloud Street
Road Closure

Phase 1 of St Cloud Street construction work will begin March 25, 2019 at intersection of St. Cloud and West Blvd west through 11th Street intersection. St. Cloud will be closed to traffic through duration of construction with restricted access west of 11th Street intersection.
