Catron Boulevard
Lane Closure

Effective Wednesday, May 15, 2019, Catron Boulevard between US Hwy 16 and Sheridan Lake Road will be intermittently reduced to one lane for construction work. Motorists should expect minor delays. The work is expected to be completed by May 16, 2019.

East Saint Joseph Street and East Saint Patrick Street Intersection
Lane Closure

Effective Wednesday, May 15, 2019 the intersection of East Saint Joseph Street and East Saint Patrick Street will be intermittently reduced to one lane. Such work will include cleaning, striping and taping. Motorists should expect minor delays.

Main Street - 5th Street to West Boulevard
Traffic Restriction

Effective Thursday, May 9, 2019, West bound traffic on Main Street will be one lane traffic. The North side of the street will have one lane open and North side parking available from 7th Street to West Boulevard. This work is expected to be completed by May 30, 2019.

Viking Drive and Bengal Drive
Street Closure

Starting Friday, May 10, 2019, curb & gutter replacement and asphalt repairs will affect the following streets, Viking Drive and Bengal Drive east of Bronco Lane, Three Rivers Drive from Viking Drive to Country Road, Titan Drive, Mile High Drive, Soldier Field Court, Candlestick Court and Lambeau Court. Short delays are possible. The project should be completed by June 7, 2019, weather permitting.

Robbinsdale Area
Sanitary Sewer Smoke Testing

City Utility Maintenance personnel and FEC, Inc. will be smoke testing sanitary sewers starting Tuesday, May 14 through Thursday, May 16 in the Robbinsdale Area from Texas Street to East Minnesota Street and Fifth Street to Parkview Drive.  Smoke testing is expected to occur between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Homeowners and landlords in the affected area have received two letters in recent months and a door hanger is being placed on homes and businesses in the project area reminding them of the smoke testing.

Field technicians will be in the affected area during the testing period.  Anyone with questions may contact the City's Utility Maintenance Division at 394-4163 weekdays, or 394-4160 nights and weekends, or FEC, Inc. at 343-3311.

Sunset Drive
Street Closure

Effective Thursday, May 9, 2019, Sunset Drive will be closed to through traffic at the 38th Street intersection. This work is expected to be completed by the end of May 2019.

Disk Drive and Haines Avenue
Traffic Restriction

Effective Monday, May 13, 2019, the area near the intersection of Disk Drive and Haines Avenue will have multiple lane closures that will restrict traffic for a utility and street replacement project.  Various lane shifts will occur during construction.  This work is expected to be completed by November 15, 2019.

Plant Street
Street Closure

Starting Monday, May 6th, Plant Street will be closed to through traffic from the intersection of Plant Street and Industrial Avenue extending north approximately 350 feet. This work is expected to be completed by May 31, 2019.

Cliff Drive and Falls Drive
Intersection Restriction

Starting Monday, May 6, 2019, the intersection of Cliff Drive and Falls Drive will have restricted traffic for asphalt repair work. There may be short delays. This work is expected to take approximately 1 week to complete.

West Fulton Street
Street Closure

Starting Monday, May 6, 2019, West Fulton Street, from Jackson Blvd to the east parking area, will be closed to through traffic for reconstruction work. The project should be completed by May 24, 2019, weather permitting.

38th Street
Street Closure

Effective Friday, May 3, 2019, 38th Street will be closed to thru traffic from the intersection of Burns Drive to Range Road. Vehicular and pedestrians detours will be provided. The completion date for this phase of work will be October 18, 2019.

Alley west of Mount Rushmore Road and east of 9th Street between Flormann Street and Saint Anne Street
Alley Closure

Effective Thursday, April 25, 2019, the alley west of Mount Rushmore Road and east of 9th Street, between Flormann Street and Saint Anne Street will be closed. This work is expected to be completed by May 2, 2019.

Saint Joseph Street
Traffic Restriction

Effective Friday, April 26th, 2019, Saint Joseph Street will have the north lane closed in the 600th block of downtown for a crane to be set up. Climate Control will be setting equipment on the Alex Johnson Hotel. This work is expected to be completed on April 26th, 2019.

Alley of Anamosa to College Ave along College Park
Alley Closed to Through Traffic

Starting Monday, April 22nd, the alley along the west side of College Park between Anamosa Street to College Avenue will be closed to through traffic for repairs. This work is expected to take approximately 3 weeks to complete.

Alley of Columbus Street to South Street
Alley Closed to Through Traffic

Starting Monday, April 22nd, the alley from Columbus Street to South Street and between Mt Rushmore Road will be closed to through traffic for reconstruction. This work is expected to take approximately 3 weeks to complete.

East North Street
Traffic Restriction

Effective Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019, East North Street will be reduced to one lane in the North bound direction for Gustafson Builders to construct sidewalk at 827 North Creek Drive. This work is expected to be completed by April 24th, 2019.

Roosevelt Avenue and Flormann Street
Street Closure

Effective Wednesday, April 24, 2019, Flormann Street will be restricted to one lane traffic from West Boulevard to Hyland Drive and Roosevelt Avenue will be closed to through traffic at the Flormann intersection. This work is expected to be completed by May 1, 2019.

Kathryn Avenue
Street Closure

Effective Monday, April 22, 2019, a road closure on Kathryn Avenue near the intersection of North Haines and Kathryn Avenue will be set up. The work will require closing a section of Kathryn Avenue directly west of North Haines. This closure will allow access to the local businesses. Residents and delivery personnel will be required to use detour and alternate routes of travel. A safe construction zone is our top priority. The duration of the closure will be approximately 2 weeks.

Maple Avenue, Arizona Street and East Wyoming Street
Lane Closure

Construction work on the above streets will begin April 1, 2019 and continue through August 9, 2019. Such work will include; spot repair of Curb & Gutter, ADA Sidewalk Improvements, Traffic Light Upgrades, Asphalt Patching, Asphalt Milling and Asphalt Overlay. The streets listed above will be intermittently reduced to one lane. Motorists should expect minor delays.  Provided alternate access will be maintained and provided for certain road sections if there is a short term closure during construction.

Cherry Avenue
Road Closure

Effective Monday, April 1, 2019, Cherry Avenue will be closed to through traffic from San Francisco Street to East Saint James Street. Polo Park access parking will not be affected. Pedestrian foot traffic for the bike path will have a detour that will be marked along the route. No pedestrian foot traffic will be allowed to cross the bridge during the closure. This project is expected to take 8 weeks and will be completed by the end of May.

Ivy Avenue
Closed For Through Traffic

Effective Monday, March 25, 2019, Ivy Avenue from Willow Street intersection south to Fairlane Drive will be closed to through traffic. This work is expected to be completed by July 1, 2019.

St Cloud Street
Road Closure

Phase 1 of St Cloud Street construction work will begin March 25, 2019 at intersection of St. Cloud and West Blvd west through 11th Street intersection. St. Cloud will be closed to traffic through duration of construction with restricted access west of 11th Street intersection.

West Chicago Street
Traffic Restriction

Effective Tuesday, February 5th, 2019, West Chicago Street will be reduced to one lane intermittently in the East bound direction for sub-station work at 3919 West Chicago. This work is expected to be completed by the middle of May, 2019. The sidewalk on the South side of West Chicago will also be rerouted during this time, please follow designated detour routes.

Fulton Street
Street Closure

Effective Tuesday, January 8, 2019, Fulton Street will be closed from 11th Street to South Fulton Street for the Fulton Street Reconstruction project. In addition, 12th street will be closed to thru traffic from Hill Street to the alley south of Fulton Street. The duration of the road closure in this immediate area will be for approximately 5 months. The sidewalks in the area will also be closed.
