The Aquatics Division offers a variety of American Red Cross Health and Safety Courses. Contact us at 394-5223 for your specific needs.
- Lap Swimming
One length of the indoor pool equals 25 yards. Swim 18 lengths for a quarter mile, 36 for a half mile and 72 lengths for one mile. Come down, start slowly and work up to swimming miles per visit. If swimming is not your forte, use the same distances while you are walking in the pool. Please share the lanes with other patrons.
- Water Walking
If swimming is not your forte, come down and walk the same distances with a buoyancy belt in the lap pool. If you are not comfortable in deep water, walk in our channel. It takes 30 trips around the channel and pipe to equal one mile. We ask that you walk and share the channel with our classes and other patrons.
Come to the Swim Center during open swim and our staff will host your party. We will provide party favors, pop, ice cream, and all paper products needed. Our friendly staff will also take care of all clean-up duties. No mess, no fuss, just a great time! All you need to do is bring a cake, if you want one, and the kids. Party goers are welcome to stay and swim for the remainder of the open swim session. Reservations are required, so call the Swim Center at 394-5223 to reserve your party date.
