Becky was elected to the Rapid City Common Council in 2017. She holds a masters degree in Administration, a bachelor of science in Criminal Justice/Sociology, and an associate’s degree in Accounting. Becky is retired from a local telecommunications company after 21 years where she worked in accounting, marketing and communications, and customer service.
Becky is a graduate of Leadership Rapid City, served on the local American Advertising Federation Board, is a member of Parkview Evangelical Free Church, served on the Wall School board, and recently joined the Military Affairs Committee. She is serving as Toastmasters International Pathways (Educational) Ambassador for western South Dakota, is a member of Skyline Toastmasters, and founded the Prairie Whisperers Toastmasters, in Wall.
As a lifelong user of libraries, Becky served as Chair of the Rapid City Library Board of Trustees from March until July of 2017, when she was elected to the Council. She was appointed to the Library Board in March 2016.
Becky and her husband Neal have two grown daughters and four grandchildren who all live in Rapid City.
