Public participation is key to the Meade County Corridor Study from Erickson Ranch Road to 143rd Avenue, in order to generate ideas and build support by engaging residents, businesses, elected officials and other stakeholders throughout the community. It provides the broadest spectrum of relevant, available information prior to the community’s decision-making, and it provides the public an opportunity to raise concerns that can be considered with discussion of technical, political and economic issues. The Rapid City Metropolitan Planning Organization welcomes the early and continued participation of the public in developing policies and plans. Several activities will be scheduled, including media/press releases, Facebook updates, and public open houses, all intended to actively solicit comments and engage the interests of the public through the participation process.
