Agenda Item Summary:
The Railroad Crossing Improvement project will provide signal upgrades to the Rapid City, Pierre and Eastern Railroad crossing on East Boulevard in Rapid City at a cost of $70,000. The project is 100% federally funded from the Highway account of the Highway Trust Fund through 23 U.S.C. 120(c). A new project has been added to Transportation Alternatives that will construct sidewalks on 2nd and 3rd Streets in Piedmont near Piedmont Valley Elementary School in 2019. Additionally, two Transportation Alternatives projects in Rapid City have been delayed from 2018 to 2020 and 2021, respectively.
