Agenda Item Summary:
After reviewing the initial plans for this project, we realized we needed extra professional help to finish the design and bidding stages. This is necessary to manage drainage issues downstream from the project. The extra work focuses on improving regional drainage along East Saint Charles Street, from Cambell Street to Rapid Creek.
We’ll also make upgrades to a City-owned property (Tax ID: 49318) to support the drainage improvements. The project includes extending the storm sewer, improving open drainage channels, grading the site, adjusting the layout, extending sanitary sewer and water services, and fixing the street surface.
The project timeline has been updated, with a new completion date of December 31, 2025.
