Agenda Item Summary:
Applicant is requesting a 2nd driveway approach for the property at 4341 Milehigh Avenue. The property is a corner lot with approximately 210 feet of frontage at the southwest corner of Milehigh Avenue and Bengal Drive. The Infrastructure Design Criteria Manual (IDCM) was adopted by City Council in 2012 and only allows a single approach for residential lots with less than 300 feet of frontage. The house is currently under construction and the applicant is allowed to construct an approach onto either Bengal Drive or Milehigh Avenue, but per the IDCM isn’t allowed to have two approaches. The request was denied by staff due to insufficient justification as it relates to topography, street design or safety concerns.
