A request was received in the Engineering Office on October 8,2024 requesting the requirement to install sidewalk along Maple Avenue per City of Rapid City Municipal Code 12.08.060 be waived.
12.08.060 requires installation of sidewalks at the time of a building permit. The existing building is being remodeled into a Gym and the project includes the construction of additional parking and landscaping. There is railroad tracks both north and south of this property which prevents sidewalk crossings until the tracks are reconstructed with accommodations for sidewalks.
