Please confirm the appointment of Corey Yates and reappointment of Jeremy Altman to the Historic Preservation Commission.
Jeremy Altman has served on the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) since 2020. His term expires on October 1, 2024. Jeremy has expressed interest in being re-appointed to the Commission. Jeremy is an architect in his professional capacity, bringing relevant experience to his service on the commission. He is a reliable, professional, knowledgeable and productive committee member and has the full support of staff for reappointment.
Corey Yates has submitted a citizen interest application to serve on the Historic Preservation Commission. Mr. Yates has a Master’s Degree in Cultural Resource Management Archaeology and has been conducting cultural resource inventories and historic preservation surveys for 14 years. His education and experience make him a highly qualified candidate. Mr. Yates has expressed a desire to serve the community and identified that he has a compatible work schedule to make participation feasible. Staff supports appointing Corey Yates to the Commission.
