Agenda Item Summary:
Agreement is for a high friction surface treatment project located at various locations in the region. Treatment locations in Rapid City include North 7th Street (southbound lane), from the curve near the driveway to Hainesway Apartments; Eglin Street at the intersection of Edwards Street/Lowry Lane (continue from high friction surface treatment currently in place) for 0.114 miles west; and Steele Avenue/East Main Street intersection north, from the corner 50 feet north of East Main Street north intersection. The project is eligible for Roadway Safety Improvement Federal Funding, therefore the State and City will each contribute towards the required 10% match. The City’s share of the 10% match is estimated at $14,366.14, however actual costs will be based upon bid amounts and final quantities.
