Agenda Item Summary:
The project will construct new treatment facilities and processes with the construction of an additional aeration basin, two additional secondary clarifiers, a dewatering building, a pumping building and all associated equipment, and improve on the resiliency of the facilities with backup generators and treatment options. Various portions of the existing facility will also be renovated and modified as part of the improved treatment train. Staff will return to Council for authorization to award at a later date. Phase 2 Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2024 and is expected to be completed by Fall of 2028. The project will be reimbursed by an ARPA grant and SRF loan for the WRF South Plant Improvements Project.
