Agenda Item Summary:
Two Rapid City recreation facilities need major irrigation system overhauls, Executive Golf Course and Star of the West Softball Complex. By designing, bidding and constructing these projects in conjunction, Staff anticipates some cost savings compared to doing the projects separately. Parks and Recreation is requesting authorization to seek proposals for professional design services for Project No. PR23-6190.
Staff proposes to hire a Consultant to design and submit construction documents to upgrade the irrigation systems at both locations. Consultant would also be responsible for providing bidding services, construction administration and observation, and project closeout.
