Agenda Item Summary:
HDR Engineering, Inc. will provide professional design services for the Water Reclamation Facility South Plant Improvements – Phase 2 project. Which includes preliminary design services for phases 2, 3, and 4.
Phase 2 will address the South plant’s capacity limitations which includes insufficient clarifier surface area and poor control of process aeration. The project will address these issues with the installation of two additional secondary clarifiers, the replacement of all existing pumps, complete with associated piping. The existing process blowers will be replaced with better turn down capabilities which will allow a new aeration control system to be implemented. Yard piping modifications will also be part of the project to incorporate the new infrastructure and upsize the lines as required.
Future agreements with HDR Engineering, Inc. will be forthcoming as the project progresses through the design and construction process.
