Agenda Item Summary:
The City of Rapid City Sanitary Landfill currently uses an enclosed flare to burn methane gas that is produced from closed landfill cells. The current enclosed flare was rated for up to 18MM BTU/HK or 600 SCFM of Landfill gas. This Title V Permit Modification Application has been prepared in accordance with South Dakota Administrative Rules-Article 74:36 to request modification to the permit to allow for the existing enclosed flare to operate up to 800 SCFM.
