Agenda Item Summary:
A request was received in the Engineering Office on January 28th, 2020, requesting the requirement to install sidewalk along the frontage of 5424 Timberline Trail be waived. Per City of Rapid City Ordinance 12.08.060 C a sidewalk is required to be constructed along the frontage of properties on local streets when a Building Permit that increases the square footage of structures on the property by 20% or more is granted. No other properties in this residential area have sidewalks, and are not anticipated to be required to have sidewalks in the near future, therefore staff recommends approval of this variance request.
