Agenda Item Summary:
The original Memorandum of Agreement was approved on August 5, 2013 and included a provision stating that First Nations had three years to commence the project. The proposed amendment states that “the parties agree that, if construction has not commenced by August 6, 2017, the City may terminate its rights and obligations under this Agreement.”
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board recommended approval of the amendment at its regular meeting on November 10, 2016.
