Agenda Item Summary:
The utilize the permitted landfill space for disposal, there is a need to relocate the 65kV power line that runs through landfill cell 18 and 19 to the north along Catron Blvd on existing City property. While approximately $1.2 million to relocate, it is estimated that the lost landfill revenue if this line remains in its present location will be roughly $10 million. In order to design our next phase of landfill disposal cells, the relocation of this line needs to be completed.
