Agenda Item Summary:
The property owner located at 611 11th Street, Cody Hodson, is requesting to demolish a contributing shed that is in poor condition. The structure is unsound, sits on the property line, and past owner neglect has caused various irreparable issues. The owner described that he is in need of more functional storage space, and the need for a garage to house a vehicle. Due to the size of the lot, adding additional structures is not feasible.
The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) reviewed the Case Report at their meeting on June 14, 2023, and provided comments. The HPC agreed that there are no feasible and prudent alternatives to the proposed demolition of the shed due to its deterioration, neglect, and limited size. The HPC has not yet received comments from the SHPO on the Case Report findings.
