Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a Preliminary Subdivision Plan to subdivide Tract A of Second Floor Subdivision into two lots. The lots will be known as Tract A1 and Tract A2 and will be approximately 5.43 acres and 8.57 acres in size, respectively. The property is located northwest of the intersection of Mount Rushmore Road Service Road and Fox Road. On June 24, 2021, the Planning Commission approved a Final Planned Development Overlay (#21PD023) to allow an apartment complex on the property. The apartment development included 14 two-story apartment buildings with 308 total units, 12 detached garages, a community building, and an outdoor swimming pool. This apartment development is currently under construction. A Preliminary Subdivision Plan is a tentative plan of a proposed subdivision requiring the installation of public improvements. Approval of a Preliminary Subdivision Plan by the City Council is required before an applicant can proceed with Development Engineering Plans and a Final Plat application for all or part of the area within the Preliminary Subdivision Plan application.
