Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a Preliminary Subdivision Plan to subdivide the property currently addressed as 3499 Moon Meadows Drive into two lots. The lots will be known as Lot 12A and Lot 12B and will be 3 acres and 3.03 acres in size, respectively. The property is outside of the City limits but within the City’s three-mile platting jurisdiction and is located east of the intersection of Moon Meadows Drive and Mount Palomar Lane. The property currently contains a single-family dwelling with a detached garage and two accessory buildings. All existing development is situated in the northeastern portion of the property and will be located on proposed Lot 12B. Proposed Lot 12A is currently void of any structural development. A Preliminary Subdivision Plan is a tentative plan of a proposed subdivision requiring the installation of public improvements. Approval of a Preliminary Subdivision Plan by the City Council is required before an applicant can proceed with Development Engineering Plans and a Final Plat application for all or part of the area within the Preliminary Subdivision Plan application
