Agenda Item Summary:
The Rapid City Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (RCMPO) in conjunction with the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), seeks proposals from qualified consultants to capture Light Detection and Ranging System (LiDAR) data in spring of 2023. The LiDAR data will be used for the creation of a new topographic database to be included in the City’s enterprise Geographical Information System (GIS). The project will consist of one component that will cover the RCMPO area. The proposed project involves LiDAR acquisition, classification of data, and derivative products and services.
