Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a Planned Development Designation Revocation for approximately 2.25 acres of property located in Lots 1 and 2 of Rushmore Center south of the intersection of Eglin Street and Luna Avenue. The majority of the property is zoned General Commercial District with the remainder zoned as General Agricultural District. An application to rezone the General Agricultural District portion of the property to General Commercial District (File #22RZ014) has been submitted for review and approval. The property is currently void of any structural development. The applicant has not specified an intended use for the property, however, any future development must comply with all zoning regulations. As, such the applicant is requesting that the Planned Development Designation be revoked to help streamline the development process. On September 25, 2008, the City approved a Rezoning request from General Agricultural District to General Commercial District (File #08RZ031) for the western half of the property and an additional Rezoning request from Medium Density Residential District to General Commercial District (File #08RZ033) for the eastern half of the property. The Rezones were approved in conjunction with a Planned Development Designation.
