Agenda Item Summary:
The property owner of1116 9th Street applied for a permit to replace historic windows and siding on their contributing structure in the West Boulevard Historic District. The SD State Historic Preservation Office has commented that the alterations will encroach upon, damage, or destroy a historic property which is included in the National and State Registers of Historic Places; however, there appear to be no feasible and prudent alternatives to the proposed project. By State Law, the City has the final decision on issuing permits for historic property. The Historic Preservation Commission reviewed the project at their July 28, 2021 meeting and recommends approval.
