The applicant has requested a Major Amendment to a Conditional Use Permit to allow on-sale liquor in conjunction with an additional casino in a proposed strip mall, located at 840 Timmons Boulevard. After a Conditional Use Permit (21UR009) was approved in July 2021 for this property to allow on-sale liquor in conjunction with a casino, the applicant obtained an additional Video Lottery License and is now proposing to expand the casino. The original Conditional Use Permit allowed for on-sale in conjunction with a 2,000 square foot casino within a strip mall, and the applicant has since revised his plans to include an additional 1,000 square-foot suite. The casino will operate between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and 10:00 AM through 9:00 PM on Sundays. The applicant anticipates having five employees associated with the casinos. The subject property is zoned General Commercial District and is approximately 0.8 acres in size. The subject property is currently void of any structural development.
