The applicant is requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow an over-sized garage. More specifically, the applicant is proposing to construct a three-and-a-half-story residential structure consisting of a downstairs 552 square-foot two-car garage, a 938 square-foot shop, an upstairs two-and-a-half story residence, and an attached 750 square-foot carport. The garage space totals 2,240 square feet, which exceeds the maximum allowed 1,500 square feet. The garage will be used for vehicle storage, the shop will be used for vehicle storage and as a workshop, and the carport will be used to park a recreational vehicle. The applicant plans to reside in the upstairs dwelling. The proposed building will have a footprint of 3,191.5 square feet. The upstairs dwelling will consist of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and living space. The property is currently void of any structural development. The applicant has stated that the garage will not be used for commercial purposes. The applicants have also submitted an elevation drawing identifying that the garage will be constructed in the same style as the upstairs dwelling.
