Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a Major Amendment to a Planned Development Overlay application to allow an on-sale liquor expansion in conjunction with a casino. A Final Planned Development Overlay (14PD044) was approved on February 19, 2015 for this property to allow on-sale liquor in conjunction with a casino, as well as a mini warehousing facility. The applicant has since obtained an additional Video Lottery License and is now proposing to expand the casino from approximately 2,000 square feet to 4,000 square feet and to add 10 video lottery machines. The casino will operate between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and 10:00 AM through 9:00 PM on Sundays. The applicant has indicated that he is not proposing any changes to the size of the existing structures and will not be adding any signage or increasing the number of employees. The subject property is zoned General Commercial District, is approximately 1.68 acres in size, and is currently occupied by a strip mall and three mini warehousing buildings (D&S Mini-Storage).
