The applicant has submitted a Major Amendment to a Conditional Use Permit application to allow a structure in the Flood Hazard District. Specifically, the applicant intends to construct a batting cage near existing baseball fields within the Canyon Lake Little League parks located east of 32nd Street in the Flood Hazard Zoning District. In 2014, a Conditional Use Permit (File# 14UR019) was approved to allow improvements to the existing baseball fields on the subject property. The proposed batting cage requested as part of this application is one story in height and is approximately 2,368 square feet in size. As a permanent structure located in the Flood Hazard District, the batting cage will require review and approval of a Floodplain Development Permit prior to issuance of a Building Permit.
